As Told By Ginger
Season #1
Episode #1: Ginger the Juvey – Ginger foolishly follows the lead of archrival
Miranda when she steals the supposed perfect birthday gift for the most popular
girl in at school. In the first episode of the series, Ginger Foutley, the star
of the series, gets invited to Courtney Gripling’s surprise birthday party, and
doesn’t know what to give her as a present. Miranda, Courtney’s best friend,
tells Ginger to steal Sheltered Shrubs’ bank sign. Her friends even offer to
help her in this devious deed. But will, Ginger go through with it? Meanwhile,
Carl, Ginger’s brother, tricks Blake Gripling into coming over for a play date
so that he and his best friend Hoodsey, can spend the night spying on Courtney’s
party.
Episode #2: Carl and Maude – After going to a nursing home with Ginger, Carl
befriends an old woman named Maude. They start causing mischief. Carl invites
her to dinner and plans to marry her. Will she accept? Or will something else
happen? Ginger, Macie and Dodie are serving time by doing community service in
the retirement home. Ginger brings Carl along and meets an old lady named Maude
he falls in love with. This causes tension between Carl and Hoodsey, especially
after Hoodsey finds out that Carl changed the secret location of the doghouse
and only told Maude. Meanwhile, Ginger learns that Courtney Gripling wants to
come over for dinner, but Carl invites Maude to dinner on the same night. The girls
are doing their community service at Golden Gates Convalescent Home for
stealing the sign at the bank. Ginger brings Carl along who develops a
friendship with Maude, a mischievous prankster who lives there. Hoodsey is
jealous of Maude and Carl’s relationship. Courtney invites herself over to
Ginger’s house for dinner and Ginger accepts. She is nervous and everything has
to be perfect… it could but Carl has also invited Maude over for dinner.
Episode #3: Stealing First – Ginger goes on a class ski trip. And Courtney
makes plans for Ginger to kiss the Foreign Exchange student. Why is Ginger so
nervous about going on the ski trip with her school? Perhaps it’s because she
can’t ski, or maybe it’s because Carl and Hoodsey snuck along to cause mischief
of their own, or maybe it’s because Courtney is trying to get her to kiss that
French foreign exchange student on the ski lift… Hmmm, doesn’t seem like there’s
anything to worry about at all! The Annual Lucky Junior High Ski Trip is coming
up and Ginger is avoiding getting her mother’s permission to attend. Pressured
by Dodie, Ginger agrees to go… despite the fact that she can’t ski. Soon she
has something else to be nervous about because Courtney and Miranda have a bet
going that Ginger and the exchange student Jean Pierre will get to first base
on the chair lift. Carl and Hoodsey want to set a world record by being
stranded on the chair lift for over sixteen hours.
Episode #4: Sleep on It – After over hearing a conversation between Ginger,
Macie and Dodie, Courtney decides to throw a slumber party and invites Ginger.
When Courtney hears Ginger talk to her friends about their weekly slumber
party, she decides that she wants to host one. Blake invites Carl over, but he can’t
go because he got grounded, so he sends Hoodsey instead – in order to get his
petrified eyeball back. When Courtney overhears Ginger making sleepover plans
with Macie and Dodie, she enlists Miranda’s help in hosting this novel ideal
herself.
Episode #5: Of Lice and Friends – Lice breaks loose in Lucky Junior High. And
Dodie becomes the school’s PA person. Will she become mad with power? Does
Ginger have lice? When Dodie is chosen as the new school announcement person,
she solemnly promises to uphold the dignity of the position but soon is
delivering more gossip than needed information. Dodie gets the job of making the
school announcements and uses it as a forum to reveal gossip about Lucky Junior
High. When a lice scare hits the school and Dodie finds out Courtney has been
infected, will she make the announcement or will Ginger be able to convince her
to keep her mouth shut? Carl and Blake are trying to become famous. Carl is
holding a lice circus, while Blake is trying to make flies with multi-color
wings.
Episode #6: Dare I, Darren – Ginger starts to develop feelings for Darren.
Miranda tries to convince Ginger that she and Darren should be more than just
friends, thus clearing her way to Ian. Carl and Hoodsey strive to become world
famous and need to borrow Blake’s new telescope while he is recuperating in the
hospital after a tonsillectomy. When Miranda sees Darren passing a note to
Ginger in class and tells her that “you and your boyfriend male a cute couple”
(mainly to keep Ginger away from Ian Richton, so she can have him for herself),
Ginger takes a trip to the movies with Darren a little too seriously –
especially when she ends up sitting between Darren and Ian (who’s sitting next
to Miranda). Carl tries to borrow Blake’s new telescope so he can win a bet
with Brandon.
Episode #7: Hello Stranger – Ginger has to write a poem for the Arts Fair. And she
invites her dad. Will he come? When Ginger receives a belated graduation card
from her father, she calls his answering machine and invites him to hear her
poem. She hopes for a family reunion and writes a touching poem about her
father being a stranger to her. Ginger wants her father, whom she hasn’t seen
in a while, to see her read a poem at a school show. When Carl is bitten by
Brandon’s brother’s monkey, he starts acting like one. Lois drinks a pitcher of
“dehydrated sea snake mix” (yuck)
Episode #8: Cry Wolf – Dodie tells Miranda Ginger’s deepest secret. Will
Miranda tell the whole school or will Ginger stop her in time? Carl, finding a
toupee in the school hallway, fashions it into a mask which awakes the wolf
within. He reinvents himself as “Wolf Boy” and Hoodsey organizes Wolf Boy
showings in the backyard until Carl goes too far and attacks a teacher for his
new wig. When Miranda convinces Dodie that Courtney is Ginger’s new best
friend, Dodie reveals Ginger’s secret that her mom won’t let her shave her legs
and Miranda uses it to blackmail Ginger. Carl, with a little help from a
teacher’s toupee, transforms into a “wolf boy”.
Episode #9: The Right Stuff – Courtney and Macie get invited to a high school
French class. For a science fair project, Carl and Hoodsey are set to buy
Einstein’s DNA when Blake Gripling gets to it first. Instead, they collect DNA
samples at Macie’s pool party. When Courtney and Macie are enrolled in a high
school French class, Macie somehow ends up hosting a pool party, where a couple
of older girls that are named Chantel and Andrea are jealous about how Courtney
looks at Will Patterson and plan to reveal (literally) that Courtney stuffs her
bikini top. Carol and Hoodsey try to obtain some of Albert Einstein’s DNA for a
fourth-grade science fair.
Episode #10: Kiss and Makeup – Lois forbids Ginger from wearing makeup. But she
goes and wears it for her school pictures. Will Ginger get into trouble? When
Lois forbids Ginger from wearing makeup to school picture day, the girls decide
to create “fake-up”. Carl’s ride with the trash collector results in an
unexpected prize- Blake’s baby blanket. The date for school picture day has
been changed and moved up two weeks. The girls are not happy and are tired of
looking like dorky geeks and decide that makeup is the answer. The only problem
is that Ginger’s mom has forbidden makeup for Ginger until high school. The
girls decide to create their own makeup and call it “fake-up”, but no one’s
taught them how to apply it properly. Carl and Hoodsey go out early on “Fat
Friday” with Dwayne the trash collector and come up with the ultimate blackmail
weapon to use against Blake.
Episode #11: The ‘A’ Ticket – Ian and Ginger team up for a science project and
Ginger finds out that Ian was using her to get an A in Science class. How will
Ginger react? Ginger and Ian are made lab partners in Chemistry class, but when
Ian seems interested in Ginger, is he interested in her as a person or her as a
way to keep a “B” average and his spot on the soccer team? Carl, Hoodsey and
Brandon audition for a glockenspiel solo in front of the town eccentric. Mr.
Cilia, the Chemistry teacher, pairs off students for lab work in his classroom.
Courtney and Dodie, Miranda and Macie and Ginger with soccer jock Jan Richton.
Ian starts paying attention to Ginger and she starts to fall for him but Darren
overhears Ian bragging to his buddy about using Ginger to do all the work and getting
an easy A. Carl, Hoodsey and Brandon compete for the privilege of playing a
glockenspiel solo for Ludlow Krantz a former student at Lucky Jr. whom Carl and
Hoodsey idolize.
